A cute fire

The only way to get my husband to take a break, while we are out walking in the forrest, is to let him make a fire.

Heart and diamonds

Tomorrow is my day for Christmas shopping.... It can be fun, it can be hell. I'll bring the ice princess along, I hope that will bring me luck! I know, I know, it would have been much smarter to do the shopping earlier. Sweden has been really dark and rainy, it's been hard to apprehend it is winter. We have a beautiful Christmas tree though, you think that should have given me a hint... ;)

"Under the pseudonym Tom Seidmann-Freud—often shortened to just "Tom"—Sigmund Freud's eccentric niece Martha illustrated a series of wonderful children's books in the early twentieth century. She killed herself in 1930 (age 37 or 38), a year after her husband killed himself. This grim ending is not reflected in her dream-like, often whimsical work." - The Rabbit Dreams of Dr. Freud's Niece - 50 watts.

Figure skating

I went to an ice show yesterday, mostly for the ice princess and the troll child in the bottom two photos.
How I would have loved to wear those dresses, still would... I can stay inside, right. Maybe when I vacuum :)

Alexandra will hold an online workshop through Camp Pikaland, read more about it here.

I am here...

...just a bit lost.

You can now find giclee prints of some of my original paintings at Sebastian Foster, Austin Texas and on the web.

Did you see the Morran mittens knitted by Lærke?

The Studio Morran 2012 calendar is sold out (I'm not printing new ones)! Napa books still has a few left.

Open studios

It is the best thing, to snoop around in other artists studios! Konstepidemin has this Christmas tradition, for one day you can visit some of the artists studios and buy art directly from the artist, eat gingerbread and drink glögg.

Glögg party

Eight people and two dogs, braved the rain one dark night in December. And was rewarded with a big full moon that made flashlights unnecessary, created long shadows and a sparkling lake. I have to admit I whined while it was raining but it ended in a wonderful night.

Bigcartel shop

I've had these postcards for a while, just couldn't find the time and energy to put them in my shop. But I made it easier for myself by starting a shop at Bigcartel, please pay it a visit :) The top postcards is from my collaboration with Ana Ventura.

And remember to order sooooooon if you want to make sure to get it before Christmas!

To buy the Morran Book Project you have to go to Blurb.

the Morran book project

Working is good, so - drum roll - the Morran book project is finished! The book is ready! And it looks fantastic if I might say it myself :) All profit will go to WSPA - World Society for the Protection of Animals - Sweden (WSPA international). The price for the book is US $34.95 for the softcover ($4 is going to WSPA and the rest is the price that Blurb takes for printing the book)

I've made it possible to see all pages - so if you are in the book, please take a closer look to see if your name is right and so on. I keep my fingers crossed I haven't forgot anyone...

Once again I'd like to say thank you to the jury that helped me to sort things out!

Here's the link to the book! Enjoy.

It actually works. Your comments makes me feel less alone in my sadness. Thank you.
